Bluebell Walk At The Old Racecourse Oswestry

Follow the 3km figure-of-eight route around the old racecourse- one of Britain’s earliest horse racing tracks. It’s a gentle walk with big rewards: far-reaching views across Shropshire and into Wales. The site offers easy, level walking along wide paths and rides, plus access for horse riders. Offa’s Dyke National Trail crosses the common, and there are picnic spots and benches dotted around for a well-earned rest.

Wildlife and Wildflowers

Bring binoculars and a field guide. The patchwork of scrub, bracken, and wildflower-rich grassland is alive with birds and insects. Look out for woodpeckers, warblers, and butterflies along the way.
